Howard offers voice to this uncensored and emotional tale by means of an array of fascinating female characters: Josephine's domineering mother, Carrie McDonald; fellow chorus girl Lydia Jones; Ada "Bricktop" Smith, proprietor from the infamous nightclub "Bricktop's in Montmarte..<br>." Cheryl Howard has toured and performed extensively all through the United States and Europe. Broadway credits incorporate: Bebe in Dance a bit Closer; in the American Spot Theatre company as Zora Neale Hurston in their manufacturing Zora; on the MCC theatre reading of Black and White as Kali; Adele in Golden Motors with the Flea Theatre. Regionally, she has starred since the Witch in To the Woods; Mazeppa in Gypsy; Pattie Mae in House, the Music; LaLa inside Colored Museum; Josephine Baker in Lucky inside the Rain; Miss Monisha in Tin Pan Alley Rag; and Muzzie in Thoroughly Current Millie. Cheryl has starred as Deena Jones in Dreamgirls in Berlin, Germany, and as Josephine Baker in Josephine: The Musical, which toured throughout Europe, winning her a Golden Heart Award for Very best Actress in a Music and Ideal Audio. She has taught Music Theatre Workshops with the Stages Performing Arts Academy in St. Louis, MO and holds a B.A. in theatre arts from Rutgers University and a Masters degree in Drama from Washington University in St. Louis.
